WESS organizers just announced the addition of the Fast Eddy Racing organised Hawkstone Park Cross-Country – The Fast Eddy @ Hawkstone Park – to the 2018 World Enduro Super Series schedule. Taking place at the iconic British venue, the event will take place on September 22-23.

As one of the UK’s best known and loved circuits, Hawkstone Park has been the home of off-road motorcycle racing since the late 1930s. National level competition started in 1951 with Hawkstone having since provided a spectacular backdrop for numerous memorable international races and Motocross Grand Prix battles.

In more recent times Hawkstone Park has also welcomed Cross-Country racing onto both the established motocross track and through the extensive woodland areas that surround the circuit. The sandy British terrain ensures the Hawkstone Park Cross-Country will be a challenging competition and the perfect fit for the World Enduro Super Series.

Positioned between WESS events in Poland – the Red Bull 111 Megawatt on September 8 – and Sweden – the Gotland Grand National on October 26 – the Hawkstone Park Cross-Country will ensure an exciting additional competition in the search for the ULTIMATE ENDURO CHAMPION.

Detailed event information will be released during the coming weeks.

Winfried Kerschhaggl – WESS Series Manager: “The Fast Eddy Racing organised Hawkstone Park Cross-Country event is a hugely positive addition to the World Enduro Super Series. Paul has a very clear vision of what the event is, which fits perfectly with the WESS belief that Enduro is for all – professionals and amateur riders alike. The UK is a massively important Enduro market, a traditional Enduro market, so being able to bring WESS to Hawkstone Park is very important to us. The event itself will be another challenging competition. Paul and his team are clearly very passionate about this race. The WESS is proud to be associated with a well-established event, managed by an experienced former top-level racer and Enduro sport personality.”

Paul Edmondson – Fast Eddy Racing: “This is a hugely exciting opportunity for the Fast Eddy Racing team. Joining the World Enduro Super Series allows us to run The Original Fast Eddy @ Hawkstone Park the way we want to run it – a fun-filled weekend of racing where everyone is welcome and where we focus on having a good time with friends and family. Being able to organise a race where riders of all abilities from across the UK can rub shoulders and compete against the world’s best Enduro riders is what it’s all about for us. There’s strong mutual respect between Fast Eddy Racing and WESS – we understand and support what the series is about and WESS understands what’s important to us as event organisers. It’s going to be a great event.” (source: wess)
